Puppies need to be stimulated in order to go to the bathroom and that is something that the mother dog should be doing. Your puppy is much too young to be taken away from it's mother.

He will die if he doesn't go to the bathroom SOON!

Get a warm damp soft cloth and gently wipe the anal area. Keep wiping as if it were the mother licking her puppy until he starts to go. If he doesn't go within 10 minutes, you need to get him to the vet.

Well since he's still so small... you could try using a cotton puff or a soft washcloth wet with warm water and rub on his bottom like the mother would lick. Mom dogs lick down there to stimulate them to poop. Another thing to try is getting a bowl full of warm water and soaking his bottom half in it... make sure he doesn't get cold though. Wet and cold with a tiny pup like that would be bad. If that doesn't help, you'll have to take him to the vet for help... Constipation can kill a puppy (or anything for that matter) because if it backs up too much, it can cause the intestines to pop. Good Luck, I've got my fingers crossed!!

PomMom is correct! Try that!

First of all congrats on the new addition. At this point the puppy should not have been given to a new home, the breeder should have kept them for another couple of weeks, but as long as they gave you instruction on how and when to give the formula and to wean him , it should be all right. At 5 weeks, we begin weaning our puppies to soaked (well moistened) puppy food mixed with the formula, a little bit of kibble with the formula.

The only answer that I have for you is call your vet in the morning and have all of the details of how he has been eating, how often he has been fed and of course any particulars. You want to give the vet as much information as possible. Hard stomachs can be a sign of bloat which if not tended to properly can kill a dog. Check out this site for more info on bloat : http://www.marvistavet.com/html/bloat.html

Good Luck.

upload some info on your question and it will assist you to get comments that ought to help you to. incorporate what you're feeding the puppy. incorporate whether the Vet confirmed you precisely the place and the thank you to rubdown the puppy to help it flow. you ought to objective massaging the anus after each and every feeding. He would possibly no longer flow after each and every feeding yet ought to flow each and every couple of feedings a minimum of. you ought to objective utilising a somewhat heat great cotton ball and observe a sprint tension whilst massaging in a around action. If that section is reddened or aggravated, you ought to observe extremely Vit. E oil directly to it in the previous doing so. Please upload info approximately what the countless evaluations and suggestion you're turning out to be to be from the Vets. you do no longer ought to rub his tummy. you could desire to rubdown the place he pees first- to help him pee. He must be almost at a factor to perform a little of this on his very own. He additionally needs to be stored heat. yet another concern: It appears like there's a nursing mom for the different domestic dogs. you may additionally attempt sitting with the mummy whilst she is nursing and assisting the runt to get some milk from her- that is better for him. Then modern-day the puppy to the mummy to bathe. that's the excellent way for him to be helped to potty except the mummy is rejecting him and/or attempting to injury him.

He sounds constipated, but by the sounds of it you just got him and gosh knows what he could of digested before you got him or unbeknown to you. Take him to the vet on monday. He may also just be nervous and holding out. My dog would NOT go outside if it was raining and would hold it for as long as it was raining. I would carry him out, under a umbrella and stand there and because his feet were wet he wouldnt go, he would run for the house. lol. Good luck!!

If his stomach is hard, he really needs to be seen by a vet.
He may have some sort of blockage...not good to let that go.
Sorry, I wish there was something else I could tell you to do for him, but him being so young, it's too dangerous to try things on your own.

Good luck
And I'll say a prayer for you and your puppy.

Need some more details!!! Is he eating? If he is eating, then he should be going. If he is not eating, then obviously nothing will come out. Maybe you can try some treats (I know treats go right through my pup- esp milkbone). If not, I wouldn't fool around- call your vet, they are trained professionals! Good luck-
