I see a smudge when I shoot against a blue sky. It is my understanding you can clean this off, but I don't want to break anything trying.

OK I have one persons suggesting canned air which is what I was thinking of using, however I have no idea how to get the air to the colloctor. The camera is sealed. So I guess the real question was, how do I direct air to the area where the dust is?

if its dust use compressed air (a can of it from a camera shop) warm it first and always spray away from the cam first incase of any moisture in the cans air, there are lens pens if you can get to the sensor one of those will do it for you.

Is the "smudge" visible on your photos? If not I'd ignore it. If it does show on your photos I'd suggest a visit to the shop for repairs.

I've never been one to shoot compressed air into anything except tires or other inflatables.
