I would suggest buying one because otherwise renting can be a pain in the butt
Plus, liquor stores close...so imagine this...your friend is having a kegger...he forgot to rent a tapper. The liquor store is closed now...oh no!
In walks you...all cool and with a tapper and such! You are the lifesaver of the party...all the girls will love you and your sexy tapper!

Rent it at a liquor store or even at your local super market. The local microbrewery is the first place I would call. If they don’t sell kegs right at the brewery, they will be able to tell you where kegs of their brew are available or you can use the Kegerators.net keg beer directory to locate a keg beer retailer in your area.Most places where kegs are sold will also sell or rent keg taps.

Don't buy it - it's a waste of money. Go to Walgreens or Albertsons and rent one. It is a $50 deposit. When you return the keg tap, they return your $50, so it's actually free!
