How long should you wait to get a tattoo after you've had a tetnus shot? .

If you read up on tattoos, alot of people say make sure you have an up to date tetnus shot. I got the shot on thursday and didn't think to ask the doctor. I have plans to get a tattoo this wenesday, I wanted to check to see if anyone heard of a waiting period between the shot and getting inked.

I'm not sure. I never heard of that. Ask your tattoo artist.

I'm not sure why you're asking this but here's my suggestion.

If your sitting to get a tattoo and the artist is not using fresh needles, I mean he takes the needles out of the sterile wrapping right in front of you, get up and walk.

At the very least they should have an autoclave which uses high pressure steam to sterilize their equipment.

Other than having to wait a certain period of time to get a tattoo after getting any type of medicinal treatment, try asking someone who actually is a doctor instead of us internet psychos.
