My pug hangs out with another female pug and i was wondering because we didnt want to get her pregnant

Yes, female has to be in heat or she won't mate - and dogs don't rape.

when my dog was in heat ...that's the only time she would let a male dog near...because she wanted it...any other time and she would snap on any male dog that got near her rear..but i am like 95% sure that a dog can only get pregnant while in heat...beacaue like humans they ovalate...which means they only release one egg when they are in heat! thats all part of being in the mammal catagory!

Are you for real? If you don't know the answer to the most basic question, how can you be at all prepared for dog ownership?

Yes that would be when they tend to get pregnant. They can;t at any other time.

they can only get pregnant when in heat any reason why you are getting either fixed and that would solve any problems
