Cash is not a problem and both parents are out of the picture. We are having problems with the other grandmother that lives part time with a druggie boyfriend and her two daughters have druggie husbands that have been in jail. We had an agreement and she has chosen to play the power game cr*p. She has hidden my granddaughters from us for weeks at a time now and I am tired of games.

you probably need a good family law attorney first off... to give you advice.

you might need witnesses to the drug issues of the other grandparents, if they are also seeking custody.

let the attorney know that the other grandmother is "hiding" the children.

i'm hopeful they are ok now?

take a deep breath and gather your dignity -- especially when in court act like a lady. dress well and present yourself as someone who harbors good, common sense (as i'm sure you already do).

i worked for attorneys for years, and noticed quite a lot about judges.. they don't like people who make a scene in their courtrooms, cause commotion, or seem to be out of control.

take it one day at the time... i'm sure you're upset hugs

The reason why most grandparents get custody of the grandchildren is because both parents are unfit to be the parents to their children. Do the parents know that you are wanting to get custody?

Grandparents don't have rights when it comes to taking the grand children, especially if both parents are in the home. You can't get visitation rights either if both parents live in the home.
