Peanut butter is good protein. As for the jelly, it adds just enough sweet to the peanut butter. Some people have nothing better to do than find fault with a traditional sandwich. Eat your P & J sandwiches. Enjoy!

No...the reason why some people yes its because it is a sweet food. But that doesn't mean that its considered as junk food. pb&j has a lot of nutrition in it. Like nuts, and fruits.
It has a little bit of sugar but mostly its natural sweetness.
It also depend on the kind of bread you use.

Well I hope this proves it to you why peanut butter and jelly is not junk food.

Not at all. Peanut butter has protein. Just go easy on the jelly and have it on a toasted english muffin or whole wheat bread.

Not as long as your eating it on whole wheat bread. And the jelly is sugar free. And your using a low fat peanut butter......hmmmm.... yeah, I think the traditional PB&J on white is actually junk.

No. Especially if you use low sugar peanut butter, and fruit spread or honey instead of jelly...on whole grain bread. But even PBandJ on white bread isn't THAT terrible, and very filling.
