I have an 7 month old bit bull, he is a boy, when ever he is scarred he tinkles and shoots out pee, i try to comfort him cause maybe he is feeling like i am going to hurt him, but i wont, and he pees even more some times. Also their are times when my friends come over that he see and knows, when they try and pet him he pees as well, a lot. I dont know if he has a blater problem or if he feels intimidated by other people, or is it because i baby him? i do not know what is going on with him i had had him sence he was 3 months old and hes always done it, can someone please help me figure what is going on here!

Your dog is submissive peeing. He is saying your the boss and I bow to you! You should show no response to this or it will contintue but he may out grow it if you handle it correctly. If you respond by comforting him you are telling him it's Ok to do this if you respond with discipline, he will try harder to show you he is submissive and keep peeing. Ignore the behavior, simply take him outside, clean the pee, and bring him back in.Although your dog should veiw you as the leader he may need some help boosting his confidence.

This is called submission peeing. When meeting new people or when you first come in the door, the best thing to do is to ignore him until he has calmed down a bit. Once he is calm then you or your company can pay attention to him. Most dogs usually grow out of this, although there are some that don't. I have one Eskie that will be 7 in Feb. and he will still do this when he gets too excited.

Get him used to you and other family members first. Play with him more and take him for walks with out a leash therefor he isn't restrained. Now about him peeing alot, it happens because he is in a nevous state or insecure about a certain situation that he feels he is in. You need to socialize him more with the people you are close with and have them play around with him. pit bulls are what I call a " One Master" dog! meaning they don't really like being with other people that they weren't brought up with. Your dog is still new, do what I said and feed him 1 Pound of dry dog food a day. ( Midday) no table food and no can dog food, and he'll be fine. walk him alot and let him carry around weights around his neck not too big at first and you will see the difference!! Trust me
