If you do lunges does it tone your legs? or does it make it bigger?

it will tone your legs. it takes years to build big muscles. whats the worry? go ahead and do them. make sure your knee doesnt go past your toe or you could hurt yourself.

Both, depending on how you do them.

Do a lot of reps with very little or no weight (your body weight will suffice). This will tone your legs, in addition to doing cardio and other leg exercises.

Do very little reps with heavy dumbbells in your hands to build muscle and get bigger thighs.

tone and if you do enough it will help in a cardiovascular sense and help reduce fat.
