I think so, but I am Canadian and generally in Canadian culture, you do not wear shoes in the house.
However, British people and Americans generally wear shoes in the house. I think it's all a cultural thing, and whatever you grew up with seems most "normal" to you.
All the best to you!

I know a lot of people who take off their shoes as soon as they enter their homes, and many who do not. It is often culturally based. Personally, I prefer to take my shoes off. I don't like the idea of wearing my dirty shoes in the house.

No, it is not strange.
But, I personally prefer to wear slippers indoors.
I would never go barefoot. Shoes protect your feet and toes.
Have you seen the bottoms of feet that go around barefoot?
Even in the cleanest of homes, soles of the feet get dirty.
And, many people have sweaty, smelly feet which I wouldn't want walking on my clean carpeting or hardwood floors.

I wear my shoes in the house until I know I'm not going anywhere for the rest of the night. In other countries though it is compulsory.

Not around here, in my neighborhood almost everyone I know has their shoes glued on their feet, even at home. My parents too, I've never seen them walk around without shoes indoors. Only kids go barefoot indoors in my neighborhood and I'm the only one who goes barefoot outside!

I don't have carpet -my choice so I wear shoes at home in winter when it's cold underfoot. In summer I go barefoot only for comfort.

At other people's houses I follow what they want in their homes. I find it's half and half. that is half for shoes on.

I don't think so, I don't take off my shoes at home, I have issues and can't stand the feeling of anything on my feet, but socks and shoes. LOL!!! Oh, and my bed sheets.

I grew up in a Filipino household, and never wear shoes in my house. The only one who does is my father, who has necrosis in his foot and wears shoes to protect his feet. Even then he has special slippers he wears in the house.

In America they usually wear shoes in the house, and once when I was in a friend's house her mother yelled at me for removing my shoes.

So whatever works.
