What are your thoughts when you see a dead person whether it's at a funeral or wherever else you might see one.

I think about who they were in life, don't really know what to think about the dead part yet.

Hi Sean,

People live whether in or out of bodies. When I see a dead body I thank it for being of useful service to its inhabitant. And set it free.

When someone I know moves on I cherish all the good times we shared and think of them with a smile on my heart. People are not bodies but the spirit that temporarily abided within. Now they're free from the physical limitations and able to rest and to look back for awhile then look at the future and plan for their next adventure.

I used to, and I still seriously believe in it. But they have given me antipsychotic medications and now I cannot.
I think the medicine interferes with the part of the brain that gives you the ability to see beyond the curtain between us and the other world. Some people do not have this ability just like some people cannot do math.

when people die it seems as if they're not really dead because the memory is so vivid. And once i can put my mind around the fact that their not coming back I get really sad and have a day or 2 to just cry. But if you see everything comes rushing at you and it's a reality.

When I look at a body I think how fortunate the former resident is now that they have passed beyond the material and are hopefully gliding through the spiritual plane on a cntinuig journey of discovery and expanded awareness.

I seen a lot of scary movies that had dead people in them when I was a kid, in the movies the dead would sit up and when my grandma died it scared me because she didn't like me when she was a live and I just knew she didn't like me even when she was dead and I expected to have her sit up and scare the you know what out of me but she didn't, she was my first, I have seen many since that I loved, they seemed to be much more peaceful and with some you can almost see a smile on their mouth..

I recently had to look at my dad lying in a casket. His body was just a shell. The shell that used to house my dad. I don't know why dead bodies really bother some people. I know there is life after death. I was at work and my dad came to see me and say bye. I spoke with him. When he left from my job I never sensed his presence again. My dad proved to me life goes on. Still don't believe in god though. He had nothing to do with that.

I try to think of them as a person and try to imagine the life that they must have had. I'm often scared to touch them out of respect rather than any sort of "ick" factor that a lot of people seem to experience.

There's this reality show called "sunset tan" and the tanning girls had to go to a morgue and airbrush a deceased man. They kept saying "ew ew ew gross" and things like that which I thought was disrepectful.

I see beauty in death. It's a part of the circle of life, not to put too fine a spin on it. I watched my father die and was awestruck. Tragic death is another story, it almost always leaves people traumatized.

Nope, just dumb people.
xD
But for real, I don't see dead people and I'm kinda glad for that. I'd be too scared/shocked to speak.
At funerals, I'm usually too upset to think, or I'm too busy comforting others.
