If so is there a fee for doing so? Is it advisable to do so? Thanks in advance for those who take the time to reply.

Yes, you can transfer your balance to your husbands card, provided his card has sufficient credit limit. There will be a transfer fee which typically is 3% of the transfer amount.

Compare the transfer fee to the interest rate difference. If the fee is less than a couple months difference, it would make sense.

You should stop charging on your higher interest rate card until you get hubby's card paid off. Then only charge what you can afford to pay off at the end of the month.

Yes you can. If your husband has enough available credit, you certainly can transfer over. Now this debt will be under his name. He can also call his credit card company to deposit money into his checking account. It would take 3-6 business days to receive the money and he can access money direct from his checking account and pays your account off. Ask if he has any promo rate for balance transfer before doing all of this. Of course, he has to pay a transaction fee unless his card doesn't have a transaction fee.
