Here's a pic of my 12 week old puppy Charlie. His mom is a black lab/basset mix, and he looks nothing like her. People seem to be convinced that his dad must have been shepherd, rottweiler, or doberman... what do you think? He came from the shelter and I also adopted his mom, and that's why I don't know what breed his father was.

Also, he went to the vet today and is 17 lbs at 12 weeks.

that guy is just too cute!! i say definately shephard on the dad. maybe shephard/lab mix. he's gonna be a great friend. shep/lab is an awesome mix.

That's awesome of you to adopt both him and his mom! There needs to be more people like you in the world....
His daddy had to be a shepherd or shepherd mix of some sort.... He's so cute!

Its hard to tell, probably should come back again with this question when Charlie is older.
But if I had to guess, yeah I would say an Alsatian/Doberman mix.
