Thank you for asking, Jack. Yes it was, but I'm afraid I was a bit of a Day Dream Believer because I was up too late the night before.

Reluctantly, 50 years ago when I married an ex Sunday School teacher. I should have known better. Before that about 65 years ago, attending occasionally with less fortunate mates, out of curiosity. That taught me better, but perhaps I am a slow learner. And a few years before that with my parents at Christmas because Mother (whose father had been in a seminary before he ran way to sea, and later a Church Warden) got a bee in her bonnet. Coming away she declared "Well we don't ever have to do that again! What boring tripe!" Obviously I should have listened to her more attentively.

Didn't you ask about Monkees backward? I think I see your theme. The Monkees are prophets. The Last Train to Clarksville is the rapture song, the theme song [Hey Hey We're the] Monkees is their plea for tolerance (we're too busy singin' to put anybody down"), "Look Out Here Comes Tomorrrow" is the song that is a metaphor for choosing christianity or islam before the end of times, "Mary Mary" is obvious, "Daydream Believer" is about false prophets, "I'm a Believer" is another obvious religious song.

Oh, thank you for making it all become clear.

Disregarding family weddings and funerals...

The last time I attended church in 1984 I gave the reverend a piece of my mind and walked out never to return. Actually I think that was quite pleasant....

The last time was on a Harvest home Sunday 40 years ago. Our friends asked Gwenneth and I to remain, but the whisper campaign and dirty looks form others would only have got worse.
For our sake and our dear friends. we left, seeking communion in the open air and finding love of all things.

I used to be the lead singer of the praise band.
...After not attending for more than a few months, I was asked to sing a solo that Sunday.... I decided to do it...maybe I was wrong about losing my faith......I sang, I sang well, but I felt empty, I did not feel the same...people were so happy to see me, complemented me on my performance, said they missed me........I went home and cried. I have not been back since.

added: That was nearly 1 1/2 years ago.

Last time I attended a church everyone was speaking in tongues and I was shaking from trying so hard not to laugh, that a lady actually thought that I had "receicved" the spirit as well.

Its been ages since I heard that song.

When I last attended church, which was just a few days ago it was more than pleasent.

It was a real Celebration.

Never touch the stuff myself Hon. They seem to have a problem with women in flowing black outfits.
