or it is best to just try to forget about them? Stalking, while maybe not ideal, at least would get old after a while AND THEN I could more easily lose interest.

What do you think?

Stalking is illegal. You could get into some serious trouble doing that. Forget it.

Yes -- I used to do this every time some chick broke up with me. I would stand in the street and stare at her house for six or seven hours. I would hide in alleys and behind trees and watch her every minute she was outside. If she went out to eat I would stare in the window of the resturant and fog up the glass. I always called her house at least sixty times a day just to hear her answer the phone and when she let the machine pick-up I would hold on until there was no more room on the recorder. After the court hearing I would follow her around but always stay 501 feet away (just to make sure). When I felt she was ignoring me I would pretend to hang myself, take pictures and leave them on her windsheild at night. If that didn't work I would find a big roadkill somewhere, like a fat racoon or possum, and tie it on her doorknob when she was asleep. After a few court appearances and her new damn boyfriend beating me up a couple of times I got really angry so I carved a jack-o-lantern, stuck big axe into it and left it on her doorstep with a note that said 'this is you, b*tch'. Then they always moved away....
I'm lying --- but you can see how dang stupid stalking is.

NO!

MOVE ON!!

Spend time to learn about yourself, find yourself, be yourself, and eventually the person who's right for the YOU will show up.

Relationship isn't about finding the other, it's about finding yourself. Like kinds attract. If you don't know who you are, the right other is unlikely to cross path with you. The search is not external, it's internal. Never try to be who you are not because you'll attract the wrong person.

stalking is a criminal offense where I come from.

I suggest you move on and spend time cultivating new friendships. Each broken heart you suffer strengthens you and teaches you about love, being in love and everlasting true love.

Stalking someone is illegal and creepy. I wouldn't do it, you'll think poorly of yourself one day. What if you get caught? Never good.
Just move on. Do volunteer work, meet someone new, just do what you need to do to not think of someone.
