When I drink certain alcoholic beverages- like wine and wine coolers- I get bad stomach pain- a burning sensation that feels like my stomach is on fire- so severe that I cannot drink those type of drinks- does anyone else experience/ not experience this? I'd like to know whether this is unusual or not and also if anyone knows what causes it. Thanks!

Never had that experience with any alcohol nor have my friends. I think you could be allergic to it, just dont drink it.

If this is the only time you feel this type of pain, maybe there's a chemical in specific drinks that your stomach is too sensitive to. But the best thing to do is to tell your doctor so that he can give you a better diagnosis. It's better to be safe.

Acid contents in wine and particular different alcohols influence my abdomen and create an acid type reflux. try something it somewhat is obvious with ginger ale or seven-up. Seven & sevens or rum & coke. in case you nonetheless have a situation, seek for a doctor's suggestion on an ulcer or another abdomen affliction.

Could be acid reflux, heartburn or ulcer. See a doctor if other drinks or foods cause the burning.

No. That is NOT normal. Even when drinking hard liquor, you should not feel like that.

How old are you?

Do you have a history of ulcers?
