XM radio was pre-installed in my Infiniti Fx-35. It sucks, so I want to switch to Sirius radio now, but apparently i need to do something to my radio to get Sirius to work. The dealer pointed me to www.soundgate.com but I'm not sure what I'm looking for on the site? Any ideas what equipment i need to make the change?

I don't know but XM and Sirius are merging so it's pretty much moot.

Soundgate specifically does not have a piece for Sirius to be integrated with an Infinity. I don't know of anyone that makes one for Infinity's. In fact, I don't know many things that are made for Infinity's. Kind of like Lexus. A piece made to integrate with a Toyota won't necessarily work with a Lexus.

And to the above comment, the two companies have not done anything at this point but to start the wheels in motion. There is still a big debate on if they will be allowed to merge since this would then be a monopoly. I know, it's silly, I didn't say I agree. Also, Sirius has stated that the two companies would most likely remain separate services and would start by adding ala carte tiers from the other service. Have no fear, you XM and Sirius radios will still work well inot the future....

well that guy didn't say when the two will merge. until then, you might have to go with what the dealer said. I think what the dealer means is that you will need a interface. Then you will have to buy an external Sirius unit. Well you can discuss your options with soundgate.
This might be your excuse to treat yourself to an new cd/mp3/Sirius deck.
