You must not worm a kitten on your own without advice from a vet. First of all most commercial dewormers are too strong for kittens and will kill them or cause serious injury to their internal organs. Please take it to a vet a.s.a.p.

Yes, you can. Pyrantel Pamoate is the active ingredient in Strongid and Nemex, the popular wormers that treat Hookworm and Roundworm. The dosage is based on weight by the concentration of the medication. The bottle should tell you. You give it every 14 days for 4 doses. You can also get a good tapewormer called Tradewinds. It is the same as Droncit that you get from the vet. Use only if you are seeing tapeworm segments.

Kittens should see a vet anyway. They need vaccines and an exam also.
People really freak out!!!!! All kittens are presumed to have roundworm.. They get them from the mother. All kittens should be wormed. I would use nothing but a Pyrantel pamoate wormer. This is a VERY safe wormer, even at 10 times the dose!!!!! Pyrantel is what the vet will give you for rounds. Do not use any Piprazine wormer. That can cause problems.

Besides, risking overdose, the main problem with wormers over the counter is they don't always kill all the worms. You may see one type of worms but it may also have another type not detected in the poop.
Another problem is that you usually have the give the animal several applications.
With wormers from the vet, while may be more expensive, you usually only have to give one or two wormings and then you're good. You can also get a better measurement of how much wormer to give the cat.
If you know what you're doing, the place place to find over the counter wormer is in a feed/farmers store. Most retail stores do not have wormers that will do the job.

over the counter wormers do no longer paintings. in case you examine the container heavily it won't point out that it kills tape computer virus which maximum kittens have. in trouble-free terms a wormer from the vet can do this. It kills the worms and the eggs interior the gut. 6 weeks could be too youthful, returned touch a vet. that's no longer costly to computer virus the cat properly.

Its definetly not a good idea because the meds they have in the OTC wormers are really strong and might hurt your kitten. Like, if you took a 2-year old child to the store you definetly would NOT give them adult cough medicene, right?
Talk to your vet and they can give you something kitten-strength.
If there is a reason you cant go to your vet, like if you dont have the kind of money to do that, go to a cigarette store and buy a little bag of PLAIN tobacco and mix a teaspoon in each meal. If its dry food, mix it in with water or they wont get the flakes. Tobacco is a natural killer of worms, if you get it plain. PLEASE do not just cut open a cigarette/cigar....its not the same!

Sure you can, if you want to take the chance on killing the kittens, or making them very sick. Wormers are given by body weight, and you have to know what kind of worm the kittens have before they are wormed.
