What about before Jesus came? So all the Jews are screwed? Why is your god so short sighted?

Hello:
If I have to be worried about sinning today than the work that Jesus experienced on the cross was for nothing. John the Baptist said, "Behold, the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world." I believe Jesus did take away the sin of the world but that will not fill the pews on Sunday. We have to be kept in fear of wondering if we're saved so we keep coming back. One thing you need to understand is that the Spirit of God, (that which is in you and me), is diametracally opposed to the teaching of religion. Religion has done more to seperate the body of Christ than any one thing in history. They all worship the same God and study the same Bible but they all have different traditions which say that if you're not part of MY church your going to hell when you die. The Bible says that the dead know nothing, how will hell effect me?
Sorry to get preachie...

Yes, I do understand, and at the age of 13, since I became a Christian, I have told people about Jesus, and how He can set them free from the power of sin and death.
What a privilage.
For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes.

If the bible is the inerrent word of God, then who cares what Charles Spurgeon's opinion is, because his words are not the inerrent word of God. You quoted Jesus saying "For whoever is ashamed of me and my words..." Jesus didn't write any books of the bible, so how can we be ashamed of His words? Jesus also said to love your neighbor as yourself. How are you, or anyone, able to judge another whether someone is loving another equally as they love themselves? You're doing more damage than good trying to preach here.

You are correct.
The Bible also tells us that there were people from Old Testament times who were saved by looking forward to Jesus. There is evidence of that in the New Testament.

I understand this, and I tell people. I just don't make myself sound like an annoying gong... I do it in Love and If you watch House (Medical Drama) at the moment Chase likes Cameron (girl) and every tuesday, he tells her I like you, and that is just it... I like to tell people about Jesus like that Jesus loves you. You need Jesus (even if you life does look perfect right now.) etc...

God will seperate the wheat from the tare, we are to work out our own salvation, we could never save anyone with our words. Just like love does not happen at first sight it takes a growth process. All we have to share with others is our testimony in the Lord & what he has done for us. Our lives in the Lord will speak volumes to others if we are following God's will. We share the truth of the gospel if God sends them to us or puts them in our path. No man can be saved unless the Father draws them. Remember, the Bible says we are "Living Epistles" for men to read.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. What this scripture is stating is that all who come to know the Lord will be able to hear his voice calling them out of the world for we were predestined to be conformed. Those that are lost have always belonged to satan. think about the time Jesus said to the saduccees & the pharisees you are of your father the devil and that the devil was a liar from the beginning. We parents know a thing or two about losing children and God will not allow any of his children to be lost. He is a Loving God and his judgement always proceeds his grace & mercy. Our Father chastises us his children in order that we may live long productive and happy lives. Those that do not believe in his Son Jesus Christ both as Lord and Savior our God are truly lost in the most final sense of the matter. Though it grieved our Father, God created some vessels of/for destruction. It's very sad but we should be able to appreciate even more how blessed we are to be called children of the most high God. Be grateful for your salvation and spread the gospel by Loving him and loving others. There is literally nothing more convincing than love. John 3:16 For God so loved the word that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life/love. Think about it when someone says they love you and their action speaks otherwise; what does this word "love" do for you really if it's not accompanied by action? So the Truth is, when it is spoken in Love. "You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free." "Jesus is the way the Truth and the life." For those that are struggling with believing in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, please know that Jesus Loves you. I know this because, Jesus made a believer out of me. I dont follow after men's traditions and their beliefs just to say I belong. But I will always follow Jesus, because he really does fill the void in my life like no other and because his Love & his Joy are unmatched. He has showed me true love and I really do hear his voice. I know that I am a child of the most high God and I just wish this could be so, for all who are in the world. Please believe with me, accept Jesus in your heart, he really does love you, I promise, he only wants to raise his children, he only has his best in mind for you. Thanks for reading. :) Yeoshua bless you with his salvation. ((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))

There is no reason to be dogmatic and pushy about it. Not saying you, meaning in regards to witnessing. There's an old saying that goes "A man convinced against his will, is of the same opinion still". A person has to want to know about Jesus before witnessing does any good.

I don't think that its because we are ashamed of Him but rather fail to realize how little time is left for all of us.An atheist once told me that if he believed as I did he would crawl across glass to tell others.Made me think, hope it does the same for others.Thank you for your words of encouragement I hope to do better.
