Sin = actions by which humans rebel against God and miss His purpose for their lives. Sin causes estrangement from God. Jesus taught that sin is a condition of the heart and is traced to inner motives. Sin is unbelief and rejection of that spiritual light that has been revealed in Jesus Christ.
