Anything is possible. Omission of something from the Bible does not make it impossible or untrue. Whether she was or not has no impact on Christian Beliefs.

No. Jesus had a considerable following during his life, enough to make him a cause for concern to the Roman and Jewish authorities. The gospels often mention crowds of people who gathered to hear him teach. So he was a noted rabbi and teacher during his life. But Jews expect a high standard of behavior at all times from their rabbis, who must be constant role models to their followers. The Jewish crowds would never have paid any attention to a rabbi who consorted with a woman who was not his wife, or who had a 'secret' marriage. This would have instantly destroyed his credibility as a teacher.
If his disciples had doubted his integrity for even a moment, as they surely would have if he had been having any sort of illicit relationship with Mary Magdalene, they would have abandoned him and turned to some other teacher. There were many rabbis and teachers in 1st century Palestine for them to choose from. Also,At the time that Jesus lived, it would have been seen as a plus. Jesus was Jewish. The first commandment in the Jewish Scriptures is to ‘be fruitful and multiply’. Jews take this commandment so seriously that they have always endorsed marriage and sexual love.

A Jewish man did not consider he had properly fulfilled his obligations to God until he was married; the only exception to this was a man who chose to devote himself to the study of the Scriptures, although even then he was encouraged to marry. It is not impossible that Jesus had been married as a young man and was a widower. It is more likely that he had chosen the second way of life, of teaching and studying Scripture, and had not married because his itinerant way of life made this impossible, in that culture at that time.
If Jesus had had a wife at the time of his ministry, he would have been proud of the fact. He would certainly not have tried to keep it hidden. There would have been no 'secret marriage'. Christianity in a later period endorsed celibacy as a way of life, but as a Jew, Jesus would have been perplexed by the idea of celibacy, seeing it as non-fulfillment of God’s command.

NO

LOL where would they have found the time?

May you find Peace :)

**L.Chaim... Highly doubtful that you know Jesus very well...lol...nor about the attitude some of His Disciple's had about women in general, not to mention that Mary Magdalene was a prostitute of known repute and wasn't "saved" till after Jesus started preaching... do you really think they or any of the Pharisees or Sadducee's could look upon Him honorably with such a wife? She was a sister in the Ministry, that was all.
**Don't mean that as disrespectful of her, just of the judgemental mentalities of the people at that time and how Jesus had enough stigma to get by without adding marriage and a wife with a "past" :)

LOL All of you whom are considering this is "true" are forgetting how controversial the claims of Jesus was back then and how He wasn't the "ordinary everyday Jew"...He began "teaching" when He was 13... said He was the SON of GOD and that He had come not only for the Jews but to especially open the doors of Heaven to the GENTILES!

LOL until His "mission" was completed, He would not have looked to His personal wants... think about it....and do you think any child of His would have been hidden?

No.

No, I do not think it's possible. Jesus was not just a Jew or a man or a prophet. He was the Living Word of God and He knew what He had to do. If Jesus was married though, what difference would that make? Marriage is not a sin. He is still sinless and Our Savior.

God Bless.

No, no, and no.
Jesus didn't marry any woman, he came for us, to die for us in order to take our sins. As the bible said, Jesus Christ forgive Magdalene for she had a lot of sins through her life, and after that she was with the other women who served Jesus and the disciples!

It would have said so in the gospels and the epistles as well as prophecy in the Tonakh. There is no evidence anywhere except fictional novels.

Jesus told John while on the cross, to take His mother into his home and take care of her. Mary Magdalene was there as well. If they were married, Jesus would have provided for her as well. Do you think after the resurrection that Jesus would have known that Mary M. was pregnant with their child? Yet, when He spoke to her, she called Him "teacher", not "husband", and neither spoke of activity in the womb.

Definately (I presume you just read Angels and Demons...?).

It is completely inaccurate of the Bible to presume that Jesus- a Jew no less- would not be married. Mary Magdelene was very close to Jesus as we learn from the Bible, but was branded a whore by the Christians. Also, the Vatican refused to allow her scrolls to be published.

Mary Magdelene and Jesus were married- and they had a child together (San Greal- Holy Blood). I have no doubt of it.

Jesus was a devout Jew and as such he would follow the laws of Moses.
Jesus was called a teacher, and as a teacher he would have been required to marry before assuming that title.

In our sex crazed world we can not comprehend a man and woman having a non sexual relationship as friends, workmates or otherwise.
Jesus is the son of God, he was not sent here to the earth to marry and raise a family.
He came to preach the good news of Gods Kingdom, to vindicate Jehovah's Most Holy Name and to give his life as a ransom for our sins.

It is a common theory that because He showed her so much favor by being the first to see Him in risen form, that she was truly highly favored of Him and may have been His wife. What we know about her is that she was possessed of seven demon and Jesus cast them out, cleansing her. She was a highly devoted follower ever after. It is speculation that they were married, but it is not that far fetched.
