I think they come here because down deep they are searching for a reason to believe in Jesus Christ. So, we should do our best to answer their questions with the same grace that Jesus afforded us. You see, I learned that from a question I asked that insulted some people, and I got reminded that because we love Jesus, we will suffer persecution, and we are told to persevere to the end, loving our neighbors as ourselves, as Jesus commanded us.

I'd like to know why the spiritiuality section ONLY seems to deal with Christians VS. Atheists. I'm neither and find that there's little opportunity to talk about anything else. I also think that what many Christians are assuming as "atheists" are really just non-Chrisitians. Many of these people DO have spiritual beliefs, just not yours.

The religion and spirituality section is to ask and answer religion and spirituality questions, the name of the section indicates the topic of the questions and not the label of the people who participate here.

Get ahold of yourself now. Get your rosary, and try to calm down.....take a deep breath. This section is open for people of all beliefs. Atheists have a perfect right to debate issues here. I am sure that god will speak to you, so that you will understand. You don't want to sound "unchristian" do you? I know that you want this section all to yourselves, so that you can discuss talking snakes, and how Noah had dinosaurs on his ark. You need to open up your warm christian heart, and welcome those who might find it hard to accept conversational reptiles, or T-Rexs that were "plant eaters. " I know you will pray for forgiveness, and try to do better. Maybe a talk with your pastor might help. Until then try not to advocate the prohibition of open discussion.

"Am I the only one out here who thinks that people who are not religious should not be answering questions in this section"
Considering that this question has been asked 10,000 times before, probably not. Why don't you go read some of our earlier answers?

You theists are constantly saying that evolution is a religion and that atheism is a religion, and now you want to throw us out of the R & S section?
Can't you Christians get together and form a consensus?

That's a good question. I come here if I find a question interesting or have a religious quesiton. I'm not atheist and don't suscribe to any particular religion. Just a life long seeker. I've often wondered the same thing myself. But maybe it's just part of the learning process?

Because other people ask us questions in this section and we see them on the home page, and go and answer them...

They are trying to open your eyes to their beliefs just as some christians and other religious folk try to convert people by banging on their doors every morning or handing out pamphlets in the metro.

Yeah, you do realize this is an open forum, not a Christianity only section. What's wrong with asking questions that'll hopefully make you think?
