I'm having a real tough time deciding when I want to leave for boot camp.

1st option: leave now, and miss the holidays. and start my military career.

2nd option: leave in january, and have to get a full time job, and go to school until I leave.

I want to leave now, but then I don't..

I HAVE asked everyone in my life right now, and they all tell me to just go now. Because I am prolonging my career..and I really don't want to wait another 6 months.

If you really want to go now, you can.

Since you are specifying that option, it sound like you want to join "Undesignated" which I wouldn't recommend. Find one of the Navy jobs you might be interested in and go for that. You will get classroom training in the military and will only have do do a little crap work, for the first year, then start your job. Then you will be much more prepared for what you'll be doing rather then having to learn it from scratch. It's well worth the wait.

Otherwise, I'll have you scrubbing rust and washing aircraft until you can figure out what you want to do.

I can not really advise you it is a very personal descision. Perhaps the inability to decide when is more a lack of deciding to go for it. Whenever you get out of boot it will be like a holiday for you and your friends when you get back for a few days of leave.

this doesn't really sound like something you should be asking people you dont even know about. You should ask the people who have known you for a long time for advice like this, it's the rest of your life we're talking about here. Just really consider both options and come back to it when you're ready.

for what it's worth, try to head for basic when the weather is more moderate. Don't go in the blazing heat of summer, or the freezing cold of winter. Other than that, I can't help you with your decision. Good luck.

Go to college, then join the military.

you might want to wait and think about joining... if you are having this tough of a time deciding when to go... you may be having second thoughts about going at all... wait... don't sign anything and think about it....
