Look (popular to popular American Idiocy) Canada has an army. Why do people hate it so much? I dont understand!

- War of 1812
- Red River Rebellion
- Second Boer War
- World War One
- World War Two
- Korea
- Gulf War
-Balkans
- Afghanistan
So why the hatred?

becuase it is canadian. I dont hate them. I respect anyone willing to serve their country, but I think that is the right answer.
I also think people who have not served next to any canadian military see them as a boy scout organization more than military.
Uniformed people is also a part of the answer

What hatred? I have a color photo of the Peacekeepers Monument which sits at the base of Parliament Hill in Ottawa proudly displayed on the wall of my patio. Many years ago I spent time on maneuvers with 2PP, the Second Princess Patricia Regiment. At that time all of their field cooks were from Quebec, so they were the only force I'd ever encountered that had a wine cellar with their field mess. As a retired Naval Officer of the United States I'm in awe of the fact that the Canadians have contributed troops to every Chapter VI (Peace Keeping) and Chapter VII (Peace Enforcement) mission ever authorized by the UN Security Council. Canada is the "world's policeman", not the U.S.

can you list some sites or references?
perhaps you will find more sympathy in the Canadian tab of military
