Mixed relationships can be wonderful i come from 2 beautiful biracial parents who told me and siblings to look for love. i have a sister who married, one engaged i'm engaged and my brothers are 2 young to dat my point love is blind ppl! black WOMEN stop degrading yourself when u say things like 'i cant get a man becuz im black you're putting negative light on black women black People! everyother race embraces their heritage why cant we do the same? (Look at nicole richie she considers herslef black if she can be as untraditionally black as she [and me as untraditionally black as i am] is and embrace her culture why cant y'all?)

This is true. Everyone should embrace their racial ethnicity and go w/ the flow. If someone isn't going to date you because of the color of your skin, then you probably dont want to date them in the first place. You need to find someone that is going to treat you with respect. 50/50 if at all possible. Dont degrade yourself, just because of social aspects of the color of your skin. Hell...i'm a beaner and I Love all women, black, white, brown, yellow, green, orange, pink...whatever...i'm not racist. It mainly depends on personality and a fun-loving attitude throughout life.

This I do know Love don't have a color and most people know this already. If you are looking for love go out and find it and stop worrying about what people may think. As for Nicole Richie, she is Latino, not black and I can't recall ever seeing her with a black man. And I don't think it is because she don't like black men. She just around more white famous people and it is where she come from, and the set of friends she surrounds herself with. I feel when she was looking for love it found her and she did not one time think about color in the process I'm sure. By the way the last guy I dated was white, and I was not thinking about his color, he made me happy.

I'm not black, but finding love regardless of color is understandable. However, you seem to have answered your own question with the strong supportive extra details you've included.

Its unfortunate how society can attack a persons self esteem to the point that the victims do lower their expectations and brings about self doubts.

911, what's your emergency? lol

woah! you have a lot of siblings!

anyway, it's not only black people who degrade themselves "I dance like a white girl" "white girls have no butt" things like that.

race issues were solved so long ago, I agree with you. people should stop discriminating already!

Very well put. What is inside the person, should be more important than the outside.

YOU HAVE TO BE MORE SPECIFIC ON EXACTLY WHO BY NAME YOU ARE EXPRESSING THAT TO.

I COME FROM A CREOLE BACKGROUND MYSELF( BLKS, WHTS) ITS NOT JUST CALLED BIRACIAL.

2007: AN RACE SHOULDNT BE IMPORTANT BUT PEOPLE WHO DONT LIKE THEMSELVES IT IS ALL THEY HAVE.

I AGREE LOVE SHOULD NO LINES: BUT THAT IS AMONGST THOSE WHO DARE TO DREAM.
