Ok I have a 8 pound Chihuahua mix. She is around 7 years old. She is a heathy little thing and has a strong stomach. I know cause she has eaten some pretty bad things in the past and has been fine. So anyway I awoke early in the morning around 7am to the dog vomiting in my bed. It was alittle red but i thought it was the bacon like treats we give her sometimes. I thought she just wasn't feeling so well. So the next day while out at the store she vomited a yellowy something on the floor. Then a day went by, she was fine. Then last night I woke up at 5am to her throwing up that red like stuff again. Now i cannot remember if i gave her the bacon treats. But now i wonder if she is sick. Can dogs get stomach ulcers. she astc fine. Running and playing. But i don't under stand the vomiting

The yellow stuff is probably bile. My dog is 10 and she does it sometimes. You should give her something that wont upset her stomach to eat. Boiled rice and boiled chicken are good. If it doesn't stop take her to the vet.

Since your dog is 7 years old and does not have a history of doing this I would suspect something is wrong. I'd watch the dog for a few more days and if it continues you need to get a professional opinion. The yellow foamy vomit is the mucus that lines the stomach and indicates that the stomach is empty. Dog can vomit during the night just because the stomach is empty. To avoid this most people will feed something very light in the evening, such as rice or frozen defrosted vegges.

Dog's get stomach aches just like humans do. Try giving him a soft diet of 2tbs. of cottage cheese and 3oz of boiled chicken cut into small pieces (you can use canned chicken) as well. Depending on the size of the dog; you want to make sure that he eats only 3/4 of the amount that he normally eats and in 2-3 portions throughout the day. Do this for 2 days and slowly introduce food into the mixture while cutting back on the cottage cheese and soft chicken. Be sure to feed him no later than 3-4 hours before bedtime.
