do not keep ur boxer an outside dog. They do not make good outdoor pets.

Crate train her.

My boxer sleeps in my bed. u have to be firm and tell her no, and do not entertain her when she wakes u up because u are encouraging it, even if u think u are not.

Ok this is what you do in this order
1) Put the dog crate somehere far away
2) Put the radio on low and on a talk show or some music where people are talking.
4) Put treats toys chew toys an old shirt that smells like you and a blanket in the crate.
5) Put the dog in the crate and make sure that he knows the shirt smells like you!
6) Pet the dog do not cuddle the dog and then lock the crate and go to bed!
Let me tell you about why the radio is becuase dogs are part of a family they love family. When they hear other voices they are calm. If you dont have a radio you can give to the dog to listen to record yourself or put a long CD on. These tips really work we used them on every puppy we have ever had!

if u dont want her in ur bed in the future then stop letting her in ur bed now and if she wines to get on ur bed u need to tell her no and if she keeps whining u should ignore her i know its hard but if u dont it will only get worse!! since she is a puppy and u say she will be outside when shes bigger u need to get her a dog crate and while she is a puppy staying in the house she needs to sleep in the crate!! right before u go to bed u should put her in the crate and tell her its time for bed and yes she will wine throughout the night for a few days till she gets used to it and if u want it to work u can absolutely not give into her!! i know it sounds cruel but its a training method if u want her to mind u have to do it this way!! when u leave u can keep her in the crate also but make sure u tell her u will be back or else she will feel abandoned which can cause behavior changes u can also use the crate as a form of punishment like having accidents in the house or chewing up ur things!! when punishing her u shoul never ever hit, kick, or physically harm her u should always use verbal punishments instead like a firm NO and for house accidents go ahead and rub her nose in it!! Trust me on this i know what im doin i am going to school to become a vet and i have also raised and trained 4 dogs of my own, 1 mutt, 1 bassett and 2 chocolate labs!!

Crate training is really the only way to go! If you plan to keep her outside it is not fair to let her get used to a nice warm bed then put her in a dog house outside. Just remember when you do put her outside get a dog house that is big enough for her to turn around in comfortably and stand up in, but not any bigger. In the winter time the snugger her dog house is the warmer she will be....if the house is to big for her there will be cold air circulating around her, chilling her to the bone. Make sure you get a clear cover to go over the entrance to keep drafts out and fill it with warm hay, or blankets, not cedar shaving as these cause respiratory problems in animals. I know they sell the stuff, but don't use it!!

The crying thing is just something your going to have to deal with in breaking her of getting on your bed...if you just ignore her and maybe scold her firmly once or twice she wont want to get on your bed and at the same time shell get a clue who is boss... wich is a good thing to teach a puppy who will grow to be a big dog.She may still whine after scolding her but that will only last a couple of days. Consistency plays a HUGE part of training a dog.

Dogs are family oriented... They love being near the ones they love. If you don't want her sleeping in your bed you should get her a bed of her own and keep it very close to you. Slowly start moving the bed further and further away until she is comfortable sleeping alone. Large Boxers really don't get to be that large either... well compared to "large" dogs. Just slowly get her used to sleeping alone if you have a problem with her being in your bed and your planning on kepping her outside when she grown. I have Pitt Mix and she sleeps wherever she wants normally, I don't alwyas let her in the bed but I trained her as a puppy to sleep alone and now she'll sleep outside, in the bed, in her own room, or anywhere she feels like.

Why will she have to live outside. Boxers do not do well in the heat or in the cold. They are better inside. But try to put a baby gate up in front of your door and put her bed in front of the gate for her to sleep. It might take a week or so but she should quit crying and get used to it.

Put her in a crate with a comfey bed [old towels maybe]
slide a heating pad under the crate turn to the lowest setting
that will make her feel like she is close to her mama,it just has to be a little warm so make sure it is set on the lowest setting & make sure she cant get to the cord & chew on it & give her a stuffed toy. Make sure she goes to peepee right before you go to bed when they are small their bladders cant hold much so they have to go often.

I also have a boxer. It is a male named Knuckles. Knuckles is only 1 and he occasionally sleeps in my bed. If not he is in his cage. If you are training your dog to go into the cage, at night get a treat...say get in the cage and carry him into it. Now my dog is so trained when i take out the treats at night he goes in his cage without me saying 1 word. So i suggest getting him a crate that will last him a lifetime (very large crate) and let him sleep in your room on special occasions, such as his Birthday or Christmas.

Awwwwww. that is so cute

Your puppy loves you so much. she is like a little sister who won't leave you alone bc your older. she just wants to be with someone i guess it is common for a puppy to do that. My puppy does that all the time so i let him. But my puppy is a dog now and likes to be outside and in the kitchen and livingroom so he doesn't do it anymore. But you should have a little cage or bed in a room so at night she can be in that room and learn to sleep in the bed or cage.

Hope this helps,

Gabby!!
