I agree, babies are a pain in the ***, but I don't believe in Choice, I think abortion should be mandatory.

I don't think Christians are so much concerned about HER body as the innocent child that dwells inside her body. After all, how does simply passing through the birth canal somehow turn a blob of protoplasm into a living human being? An unborn child thinks, has a beating heart, can feel pain and emotion. It's not the same as if the woman was removing an unwanted wart or zit. What is the difference between poking a hole with a scalpel into an infants skull and sucking it's brain out with a vacuum just before it is born and just after? We would shrink in horror at the sight if it was just after it is born, yet find nothing wrong if it is done just before it is born?? I cannot understand this logic.
The woman made her choice when she had sex that create the baby. How she deals with the consequences of that choice is an entirely different matter.
The whole argument about this being a woman's choice over HER body is entirely smoke and mirrors. The real argument is about the right to fornicate without consequences.

NOTHING is wrong with being Pro-Choice, and **everything** is wrong with being ANTI-Choice.
Fortunately for America, a sensible and benevolent U.S. Supreme Court EMANCIPATED girls and women from coast to coast, with its Roe vs. Wade decision. Even hateful and backward (Mormon-infested) Utah was forced to end its bigotry in that regard.
Prior to 1973, girls and women were FORCED against their will either to gestate-to-term (a very real, 9-month-long form of RAPE), seek out a dangerous and/or costly illegal abortion, or spend a lot of money to travel to a FREE state or country for a safe and legal one.
We of the PRO-Choice majority will **never** allow America to regress to the barbaric PRE-Roe vs, Wade Dark Ages.
NEVER!!
To "Phoenix Ablaze" -- Claiming that a woman's having safe sex is choosing to become pregnant is JUST as nonsensical as it would be to claim that a person driving a car defensively is choosing to have an accident. Are you REALLY that **dense**? (If so, no surprise -- it takes a lot of stupidity and hatefulness for anyone to be an ANTI-Choice bigot.)

Are you serious? Let's all refer to YOUR QUESTION in the Pregnancy section...
"I have had 14 abortions.?
I love the way it feels when you are first pregnant. You feel so happy!! Then I get tired of it, and have a nother abortion. Is there something wrong with this??"
*EDIT*
I noticed that your above question regarding abortions is no longer present in the Pregnancy section. Please think before you post something like that...there are real people on these boards dealing with real life pregnancy issues.

There's nothing wrong with Pro-choice. But the "Morality Police", aka the Christian Coalition and the Moral Majority have decided that ALL americans should live by their standards and are doing whatever they can to force us into doing what they think is right regardless of the individuals constitutional rights are.
No one has the right to tell someone what they can and can't do with their own bodies.

personally, I am against abortion (with some exceptions). with that said, I do feel that people need to stop being so judgemental towards people that are pro-choice and vice-versa. the decision to have an abortion, give the child up for adoption or keep the baby should be decided by the man & woman. not a president, senator, pastor or anyone else

An unborn baby has no rights, actually. Its existence is entirely dependent upon the mother.
You cannot have contradicting rights. You say that the baby has a right to live, but if the pregnant woman wanted to kill herself, which she has the right to do, the baby would die as well.
You cannot have rights that contradict each other.
No matter how cold this may seem, a baby does not truly have rights until the umbilical has been cut.

I'm all for pro-choice. I think abortion is a better alternative than having a baby that you don't want or have the ability to properly care for. Plus, I just don't understand how people can think that killing a fetus is equal to killing a person. A fetus isn't a viable person yet.
Maybe you'd find my most recent question interesting.

A friend of mine had to have an abortion. The fetus had developed Edmund's Syndrome...a severe genetic disorder that would have led to grotesque deformities and certain death...not to mention a risk to the mother. Yet the pro-life crowd would gladly make her carry it to term regardless of the hopelessness (maybe they imagine that prayers would somehow cure it), or risk for the woman (presumably she would be giving her life or fertility for the sake of their god's will).
You hate abortion? Don't have one. That's your choice. Stay out of everyone elses.
