Since you use an oil free cleanser, your skin is probably tightening up & forming a shiny surface - it's not oil; it's tight skin.

My recommendation is to find a milder cleanser or use a bit less of this one. The other thing you can do is to follow up w/ a slightly moisturizing toner and pat your face dry afterwards.

Wow..I have oily skin 2 but it usually isnt shiny after i wash my face. You should try using something that is not only oil free but reduces oil and is for oily skin and use a shine control moisturizer also try rinsing your face with cold water after you wash it.

I'd go to the dermatologist but listen you need to look on the bright side and count your blessings as oily skin tends to age much better than dry skin!

In the meantime, consider using a mild toner and perhaps switching to another oil free cleanser!

Usually, when your face get's shiny, it's because of excess oil on your skin. The best way to quickly get the oil off is to wipe your face with rice paper, and the oil clings to the paper.

I heard that washing your face too often and touching it makes it even more shinier. Because your skin drys out and it compensates by putting more oil out. Ironic isn't it?
