Extremely unlikely - I don't know exactly what the toxic dose of chocolate is, but it's certainly more than a crumb even for a kitten!

Chocolate causes kidney toxicity because it contains theobromine, but I crumb will barely register in the system. I don't think you have anything to worry about, but if ever your cat does start exhibiting signs like vomiting, diarrhoea, not eating or lethargy, you know where to go!

No, my cat has eaten little crumbs before and she was fine. Do yourself a favour though and look up foods that are toxic for cats and also houseplants that are toxic for cats.

I've posted a big sign on my fridge listing all the foods that are toxic for my new puppy, it just helps to have a daily reminder.

Don't worry though, if it was just a small crumb she'll be okay.

The truth is chocolate contains theobromine that is toxic to dogs in sufficient quantities. This is a xanthine compound in the same family of caffeine, and theophylline. Toxic Levels The good news is that it takes, on average, a fairly large amount of theobromine 100-150 mg/kg to cause a toxic reaction. Although there are variables to consider like the individual sensitivity, animal size and chocolate concentration. On average, Milk chocolate contains 44 mg of theobromine per oz. Semisweet chocolate contains 150mg/oz. Baker's chocolate 390mg/oz. Xanthines affect the nervous system, cardiovascular system and peripheral nerves. It has a diuretic effect as well. Clinical signs: Hyper excitability Hyper irritability Increased heart rate Restlessness Increased urination Muscle tremors Vomiting Diarrhea

I wouldn't worry to much. Just keep an eye out for vomiting and diarrhea. chocolate effects all animals different. If she just ate a crumb I wouldn't worry just watch for signs of illness today.

It will be fine. here is how you can tell: if a cat eats a bit of chocolate smaller than their nose, its cool. if they eat something the size of thier ear, take them to a vet. if it is chocolate bigger than that, they are in trouble. but, a few crumbs will do nothing. our cats commonly lick bowls with melted ice cream (chocolate) in them, and still no harm done. besides the hair loss and lack of eating. just kidding!!! your cat will be fine.

She should be fine. As long as it's not LOTS of chocolate. Like, half a bar of chocolate. Just watch her closely for a few weeks and if she starts vomiting, having diarhea, and having weird symptoms, bring her to a vet immediately!!!

I don't think it will be sick i mean there are cats who eat out o the garbage and people who feed human food(such as candys, meat, milk, etc.)but if it does just take it to the vet and maybe if it does get sick it might get diaria but u should take to the vet only if it starts acting weird

Unless she has some kind of allergy, or it was pure bakers chocolate, she will be fine. May have a small stomach ache or an extra furball, but I wouldnt worry.
