try the store of purchase and relay to them that is was an accident ----- do not embellish the story or say more than what is necessary ----------- if you have an ''800'' number call and listen to what they say about their warranty ... and yes you do have a problem and I wish you the best in the repair department .. if they refuse to fix your camera then you can be aware of "" no good brand"" --- if it's a fix you can be happy that they do cover the accident part of the warranty .... just read your warranty (could be on-line) and understand that it may only cover manufacturing defects -- good luck

Yikes. The warranty won't normally cover dropping it, usually only covers manufacturer defects.

You could try a local camera shop to see if they can repair it. I think we have Wolf's Camera around here.

Dropping is considered abuse and unlikely to be covered by any warranty, manufacturers' or other. Repairing it may cost more than its worth.

One more reason someone invented the tripod.
