I may have forgotten to mention he's 3 and a half pound Yorkshire Terrior that was given to me by a friend who had to move into a apartment. He's a good dog, but he has some irritating quirks. Such as requiring his food to be stacked prior to eating it. He's been to a trainer, and the trainer said you just have to accept him the way he is. And he is suppose to be a professional.

The dog may have been to a trainer but you haven't. Obedience training is more for the owner than it is for the dog. They teach you about dog behavior and how to teach your dog.

No, contact a professional trainer in your yellow pages, and Im going to guess your dog has not had previous general training (i.e. basic obedience)? I would advise you realize that its not your dog whos not in the chain of command, its you. You need to guide your dog, being too firm can make it worse.

don't let it be the boss, first thing. you'll get a whole bunch of problems from that. you might just want to try some of his techniques, like make sure that you can take a toy away from it, because if you can't, then it has control over you. on walks, go out the door before the dog. that usually sets a chain of command. also, don't let it just ignore you.

i do no longer believe it. If somebody proposed this comparable thought only changing mutts to organic breds, human beings could say that's a puppy mill. It sounds to me like those everybody is calling permission in a delightful thank you to start their own puppy mill. i ought to upload extremely some financial breeders are like this, they are no longer all the poor places human beings cause them to out to be, only a pair are extremely that poor. extremely some them are only like what you defined only utilising organic bred canines. Breeding canines with stable temperaments in an identical ecosystem (no longer extremely a house, yet nonetheless they get dealt with and performed with countless cases an afternoon.) yet, human beings say all puppy turbines are undesirable, and that i'm specific extremely some those comparable human beings would be fore this thought. i've got faith the excellent canines are those raised in a house ecosystem, no longer an animal safeguard and urban kennel. And it extremely is what i don't get. lots of folk (probable which incorporate those human beings you mentioned) are against breeding organic bred canines with stable temperaments yet no longer for exhibiting. they think of only teach canines must be bred. So how is breeding organic breds with stable temperaments in a house ecosystem unacceptable, whilst breeding mutts with a stable temperament in an animal safeguard ideal? it extremely is thoroughly ridiculous to me. i've got faith no longer all advertisement breeders are undesirable, and whilst they are no longer the excellent domestic dogs, they are stable canines that extra wholesome into the nicely-known persons way of existence. i actually wish this under no circumstances happens, that's a thoroughly ridiculous thought, and that i could be against it.
