I'm dog-sitting a bichon (sp?) and a schitzu (sp?) and the bichon wants to play with the schitzu butthe schitzu is distant and tries to run away and stay far away as possible. i constantly have to remain between the two of them. Any suggestions on how to keep the peace between the two in my absence

You should keep them seperate and in different rooms. I would advise next time to make sure you socialize your dog with the dog you are going to dogsit. Some dogs and cats do not like to be around other pets, and thus live in a one pet family. Others can socialize well or enjoy the company of other pets. Or it could be a personality issue.

u could put one dog in one room and the other in a different room and so they won't bother each other! Another suggetion is to put the bichon in a cage but that would be mean.

Obviously one dog was not socialized. Nothing you can do about that as they are not your dogs. Keep them separated.

crate them separately when you are not home,,, no need to force them to become friends,, since your are only babysitting
