I just got a puppy and we havent taken her to the vet yet. She has ear mites and weird bumps on her back probably cause by the bugs outside in the hole she lays in. Does anyone have any idea how much the examination and vaccines are going to cost??

It depends on where you live. Best thing is to call a few vets in your area and ask what an initial visit costs. For a complete check up, shots, heartworm check, etc it could cost around $100. Remember, pets are like children, in regards to their health. If you can't afford the medical bills, you probably can't afford to have them.. and pets are usually optional in life.

One thing you might check into is Pet insurance.

Also, depending on your credit you might qualify for Carecredit. It is a credit card that can only be used for medical and dental services for PEOPLE as well as they have a program for Vet services.

Good luck.

If you have a Petluv near you, they are very cheap and do spaying and neutering cheap too.

Meanwhile, your puppy should not be outside in a hole - she needs to be an inside dog with a nice bed.

Get her vaccinated and treated for the ear mites and skin condition asap, before there are major problems.

Dog ownership carries responsibilities - that little puppy depends on you for her well being - please make sure you live up to that.

First of all, depending on the age of your puppy, I probably wouldn't let her lay in a hole outside. Dust, bugs, germs, and other nasties are not good for a developing immune system, skin & coat. She will need shots to keep her healthy....

If you take her to the vet, chances are they will suggest a plan for the necessary shots (you give them shots every few weeks), and depending where you go, it ranges anywhere from $50 to over $100. Exams in vet offices usually go about $45, and of course medications are separate....

There are vets that offer "puppy packages" for $200. That includes all their shots, until they are done. It also includes the visits, etc. Sounds like you will have to pay alittle extra for some ear mite medication, but I would do the puppy package...it is a lot cheaper than paying for each visit seperately.

Probably depends on your area. Our initial visits with shots have been around $100-150. It's lower if there's no visible signs of problems. Some vets will offer a special for a first visit or you can talk to them about payments.

Also, I'd recommend getting her more suitable accommodations outside. Get her out of that dirt bed.

this all depends on the vet just to give an example I called all the local vets in my area to find out about getting my cat castrated the prices ranged from around $30-35 and one is $85 and the other is $123
You would have to call around to see for yourself. also check some vets give a puppy package which includes shots, wormings, and fixing.

nicely the commonplace cost for the rabies shot is approximately 12 dollars and so as that they provide rabies photos on the humane society here in Cali. it is in lots of situations extra decrease priced approximately 6 dollars and that they only grant it purely one or 2 days out of the week from 12pm -2 pm. As for the vet, for me it oftentimes value approximately 27 dollars a pass to and extra plus drugs and and so on... yet once you extremely desire to appreciate the cost of a vet pass to, each and each vet is distinctive so i advise to call and ask to ensure what a extra effective deal. stable success which contain your domestic dog!

Dont be expecting it to be cheap it will maybe cost around 75 for the examination and maybe 50 for the vaccines. but ask them for heart worm pills and what kind of food will help him . you can also see if he is allergic to any of the foods by dog allergy test things.

It just depend on what the vet will do and how much the exam costs w/o shots I would say somewhere from $50.00 to $150.00 but I'm not sure why don't you call your vet and ask .
