I want to become bhuddist w/ out spending any $ or going anywhere except my home. And I will be practicing alone

Study it at home... it's just that simple and when you're ready to "take refuge" either just mentally or formally, you'll do exactly as you please. Buddhism isn't about forcing anything, it's about equanimity and changing your mind.
