misgeorge, wegies are very closely related to maine coons but they originated in the cold climes of norway, so long haired, smudge is bigger than my friends minature yorkie terrier. they are intellegent and gentle giant breed of cat. i know all about the scottish wild cat which could i suppose be about the same size but the are tabbies not black or black and white

smudge and fina were parents of six kittens one of whom we lost. two were spitting images of smudge, bagheera and tigger, one was a spitting image of fina named soxs, two were grey smokey and the one who died and a single little girl called sarabi who is a black marl, she was the last born

Hi Kath!

Glad you managed to get the piccies up ;-)

Your cats are gorgeous! Really lovely looking kitties! Your kitten looks just like Smudge.

Just for the sake of it, here is my 1 year old cat, Morrissey: http://s146.photobucket.com/albums/r246/emmie2409/?action=view¤t=Morrissey.jpg

And my new kitten, Pixies, who had hurt her leg and had to have a bandage put on! Poor thing! http://s146.photobucket.com/albums/r246/emmie2409/?action=view¤t=band.jpg

OMG!
They are sooo beautiful.

And Norwegian Forest Cat is a breed (not a wild cat like the first answerer said.) They're closely related to Maine Coons.
I have a Maine Coon named Elvis.

I love those exotic names....I don't think Elvis is what you can call "exotic" but it's different!

They are adorable! have lots of fun with them.

wow - never seen these animals before...the only wild cats i know of in britain are some wild ones up in scotland but there's a lot of conjecture that they are so interbred with feral tabbies that they really aren't the same species as once was about...where do these come from?
