hi Dee-Dee,

yes i have used benoquin (Monobenzone 20%) off and on for the past 2 years.

it produced a fast fading of my dark brown skin tone to a light brown skin tone. however, after 6 months, i started to get some stark white spots. then after a year i also got brown spots (repigmentation). so i realized it is true, Benoquin, or Monobenzone used in any percent, will attempt to depigment the skin but fail unless you have a weakened pigmentary system (Vitiligo). i went back to Mequinol 20% but that stopped working, too.

I am now using Benzylarbutin, the natural form of Benoquin, also known as Monobenzylether of Arbutin, it is safer than hydroquinone, mequinol, or monobenzone for use on normal (non-vitiligo) skin. if you do not have vitiligo please do not resort to Monobenzone for skin bleaching as it will fail on it's own. it is possible to depigment normal skin using a combination of Monobenzone 20% + Benzylarbutin 20% + Tretinoin 0.1%. this is discussed in detail and i have posted my photo at http://DEPIG.forumup.com

And so???? what kind of medical advice did you get uh? did you even think that for the sake of your vanity ( if that's what you can call it) you could contract something far worse than becoming albino? There are so many people trying to change themselves without weighing up the consequences and, when things go drastically wrong they start crying about how they wouldn't have done it if only some one had advised them. You're being so irresponsible, but if you don't care about yourself, then why expect any one else to. A goth, my FOOT! Do you not realise that you could permanently damage your skin or may be even get cancer? Why don't you just stay indoors for the next year , wear a burka or get a job working under ground?. You'll soon turn a whiter shade of pale!
