Almost all of the cruiselines now have wireless internet, but it isn't free. It isn't even cheap. Depending on the cruise line and the package you choose you will be paying anywhere from 25 cents a minute to 75 cents a minute. I believe that Royal Caribbean may be providing unlimited net packages now but they are again not cheap.

For most cruise lines you can visit their website and do a search for internet rates and you may find their rates. I have included a link to the Holland America Internet Hotspot webpage but unfortunately it does not list the rates they charge.

Now, there are work arounds that you may have available to you. If you can limit your internet surfing to when you are in port you can go to a coffee shop or restaurant that has internet at it. You can usually find ones that have one day rates around $10 a day, however you might even find free net at some of them. The second link I provide below is a list of Free WiFi locations in Hawaii.

The other option you may have is your Cell Phone. Depending on your Cell Phone and Rate Package you may have internet on it. My cell phone has Broadband internet and with a USB cable I can use it as a modem for my laptop, I get 240kbps which is not bad. Now, you can only use it when you are in port, when you are at sea the ship will turn on it's own cell tower and cell usage through it is billed at international roaming rates.

Good Luck!

Yes, HAL (Holland America Line) has wireless Internet access ...

Each cruise ship in the Holland America fleet provides an Internet Center offering 24-hour email and Internet access. Printers are also available. Wireless "hot spots" (802.11b) are available on all ships for guests traveling with personal laptop computers with wireless capability. Guests may also rent wireless-equipped laptops onboard.

i would look for internet cafes in the ports you are visiting, that is bound to be less expensive for you. However the cruise lines have bundled minutes that you can buy. Go to website of the cruise you are taking and search about their internet options. Have a great time on your cruise. I ' m a little envious. LOL

No they usually have internet cafe's but of course very pricey. Everything you use on a cruise ship costs. For example: if you use your cell phone the cruise line will bill your phone company in return you will get a high bill

yes there is in Holland America.
Most ships do these days, even old ones have remodeled.
Even Island Escape, and that is really the bottom of the industry.
Also, its not as expensive as it once was... most members of the Carnival Corp (like Holland America) sell packages for the duration of the cruise...

Yes, most do. You should be able to go to the cruise lines website and I'm sure you would find that question under FAQ's

Instead of wireless internet, they have internet cafes where you can surf the net, but it's VERY expensive. If you must check our email or use the internet, I suggest you wait until port time, and then find a cheaper internet cafe on land.

yes, but it is very expensive. you are better off to pay a package from them and use it sparingly. when you go to ports, there are cyber internet cafes where it is much more reasonable. hook up there to email pictures/catch up on your email.
