I'm a theist and enjoy the writings of C.S. Lewis, William Lane Craig, Gary Habermas, Ravi Zacharais, Norman Geisler, Frederick Nietzsche, Bertrand Russell, Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins etc. etc. Obvioiusly, from my viewpoint I don't agree with them all, but it is essential to study/read form both sides of the fence. What about you?

I don't know what any of the authors I like believe. I have never thought about it actually. Either I like the book or I don't. Religion plays no part for me.

Interesting though.

I do pay attention though when I am reading books about religion. I like to know if the author has an obvious bias one way or the other. I particularly like Bart Ehrman though.

The Sutras from the Buddha and subsequent "writings" and so forth from lamas, like Lama Je Tsongkapa, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Venerable Thubten Chodron, Pema Chodron, Sogyal Rinpoche, Geshe Tashi Tsering, Matthieu Ricard and Trinh Xuan Thuan, Rob Preece, etc and so forth.

I do read Islamic "stuff" to keep my fingers on the pulse of Islam and I carefully observe the Catholic church and other Christian groups.
