OK, how would you feel if your wife went to one. Would you mind?

I would mind. It's something not to be encouraged. It's something a "wife" don't do. Conversely, it's something a "husband" should not do with his pals either.

No worries, if she wanted to.

Both of us prefer our own bed, but my sister regularly has "Girl's Nights Out" with her mates. A bunch of them get together and have a meal, hit a club or two and then go home for some late night horror movie DVDs and lots of laughs.

They're all married or in relationships, and just like a 'time out' every now and again. They seem to enjoy it, it's not a scenario for any 'funny business' because they go to see their friends (they've known each other for years).

From what I can see, these "Girl's Nights Out" have helped my sis and her friends keep their friendship alive over quite a few years. They talk about their lives, have a few laughs and are very supportive of each other.

As for the partner/husbandbeing upset ~ are you sure that's not just jealousy and mistrust? The thing is, he either trusts his wife or not. If he does, he's not going to worry. If he doesn't, an overnight slumber party is the least of his problems.

Cheers :-)

I'm not a guy but I am an event coordinator and a lot of women want me to coordinate their slumber parties. These parties may be held at their girlfriend's house or at a hotel. The husbands of these ladies are glad that their wives are having a nice time because during that time they are spending a night out with the boys. I'm an experienced event coordinator.

Yes because a real relationship is not one where either mate tells the other what they can or cannot do you are both still people, individuals and should do your own thing when you can and want to.
By not letting your mate do there own thing you will eventually build a wall around them that they will resent you for.
Remember the land of the free.

First of all. You don't own your wife so she should not have to get your permission to do anything! If you don't think it is a good idea, talk to her and hear what she has to say!

First, think about what you just asked - would you "let" your wife? Who the hell is the husband to "let" the wife do anything? Personally, I wouldn't ask permission.

We have slumber parties all the time and nobody "lets" us do it. We just do it.

Yes, my girlfriends stay with me all the time (I am a gay male). I stayed with Jayme the other week - we even cuddle up together at night. I am married they are married - we are just all good friends.

My hubby wouldn't have to "let" me go, any more than I "let" him go to band practice. We are grown-ups who respect each other, ourselves and our marriage. I would go if I wanted to, and he would be just fine with it because there's no reason for him not to.

Yeah, there is not "letting". It's me saying "I am" and he can complain if he wants to.
