yes...creatine can aid in weight loss. creatine helps to increase the available stores of ATP which is the cellular energy source that is used for all muscular contractions. when on a fat reduction diet with reduced calories the increased levels of creatine/ATP can help you to train at a higher level of intensity. creatine also increases the levels of intramuscular hydration. this creates a greater anabolic environment in the muscle cell which aids the muscle cell to better utilize fatty acids for use as energy. and there will be some initial weight gain from the increased level of cellular hydration levels but that excess water will be eliminated 7-10 days after you halt supplementing with creatine. get some hand calipers to track your body fat bi-weekly

Creatine is a great supplement, but thats exactly what it is- a SUPPLEMENT. It isnt in any way a substitute for a strict diet or exersice. Creatine is great during a bulk up because youll get more out of it if your taking in surplus healthy calories. However, its effects may not be as great while losing weight and not taking as many calories in because your muscles will not grow. It should still give you some strength though given the fact that you respond well to it. You will only gain weight on it if you eat more, not on it alone, however, creatine monohydrate, which im pretty sure EAS uses, will give you a bloat effect. The scale might read you as a little heavier but thats because of water retention. if you drink about a gallon a day of water youll pee it out though so its no problem. Creatine mono is known for pulling water into the muscles therefore making you look a little bloated in the gut too. Try it, if you bloat and are uncomfortable, try Creatine Ethyl Ester instead, or CEE. CEE does not give you the bloated affect, some people claim it doesnt work as well, some say its better. Some products that use CEE are BSN Cellmass, Higher Power CEE, and a few others. Shop around. If you stop using it, you will not gain any weight, you might however lose some of the strength you had when you were on it. thats about it. try it out, see how you like it. If you are trying to lose weight, eat 6 small meals a day, do 45min-1hr of lifting, and then do 30-45 mins of cardio right after you lift. Cardio 3x a week is a must. Be strict with it. Good luck.

Supplementation *may* help increase lean muscle mass and improve athletic performance. (Edited to add: An increase in lean muscle mass does not necessarily equal weight gain. Muscle is metabolically active--it burns calories. Fat is almost inert. So gaining muscle mass, in the long run, can and does boost loss. The bigger question is whether creatine does this---and for this, the jury is still out.)

No matter what, creatine will not effect any meaningful change in the absence of an exercise regimen. Nor will its effects be reversed if you stop taking a supplement, if you continue with the exercise.

Chances are, your wallet will end up lighter, but *you* won't end up much lighter unless you do what you can do for free: eat less, choose the foods you eat carefully, and exercise more.

Creatine will add water weight to your body. I took creatine while working out a few years ago and I gained a little over 10 pounds quickly. I increased my water intake and it was obviously water weight being retained. It would serve no purpose in weight loss.

creatine will make you gain weight, if used right. if you take it make sure to drink almost twice the amount of water your supposed to drink in a normal day, cause basically all it does is take water from your body, and puts it into your muscles to help build and repair them, much faster then normal. so you can work out more and harder... you can get deyhdrated very easy.
