on every corner there are great places to eat!! its fun to try new things!
for fun: See a Yankees Game, Go to times square, go to ellis island and liberty island, saks fifth ave. there are alot of great stores around times square

Best place to buy shoes/ sneakers: The Village. or 8th St. and surrounding area (+ or - 4 blocks going north/south)
Best Pizza: Rosario's Pizza, Orchard Street, LES
Best Place to Eat/ Drink (Trendy): Meat Packing District
Best Place to Eat/ Drink (Bar-hop): Lower East Side, LES or NoHo (North of Houston)
Best Place to Shop (Trendy): West Broadway, or Fashion Ave. (aka 7th Ave.)
Best Hot Dogs: Gray's Papaya, 8th St.
Best Halal: Mamoun's
Best Brick oven pizza: Grimaldi's on Spring or Prince. Lombardi's in Brooklyn.

Washington Square Park is the starting point. Walk south to Bleecker Street. Then north to 8th Street. Then east to St. Marks Place. Then west to Jane Street.
