That would depend if you are a true believer and follower of Jesus Christ.

John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Deuteronomy 5:33
Walk in all the way that the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.

John 3:17
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

John 11:4
When he heard this, Jesus said, "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it."

Romans 1:4
and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:10
For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

Galatians 3 - Sons of God (NIV)
26You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Hebrews 1 - The Son Superior to Angels (NIV)
1In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. 3The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. 4So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
5For to which of the angels did God ever say,
"You are my Son;
today I have become your Father[a]"[b]? Or again,
"I will be his Father,
and he will be my Son"[c]? 6And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,
"Let all God's angels worship him."[d] 7In speaking of the angels he says,
"He makes his angels winds,
his servants flames of fire."[e] 8But about the Son he says,
"Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever,
and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.
9You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy."[f] 10He also says,
"In the beginning, O Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
11They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
12You will roll them up like a robe;
like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,
and your years will never end."[g] 13To which of the angels did God ever say,
"Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet"[h]? 14Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

1 John 4:9
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

John 14 - Jesus Comforts His Disciples (NIV)
1"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God[a]; trust also in me. 2In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4You know the way to the place where I am going."
Jesus the Way to the Father
5Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?"
6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7If you really knew me, you would know[b] my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."

8Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us."

9Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? 10Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. 12I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. 14You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
15"If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[c] in you. 18I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."
22Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, "But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?"

23Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

25"All this I have spoken while still with you. 26But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

28"You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe. 30I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold on me, 31but the world must learn that I love the Father and that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me.
"Come now; let us leave.

There is no evidence for it but still many people like to believe there is life after death. Myself, I am a sceptic but it is a good idea to have a little faith; after all, even Einstein spoke of God, and Hawking said that he wanted, in his heart, to believe that there is a God.
There cannot logically be a heaven, at least not in the simple sense of a 'perfect place' to which we ascend, and meet all our dear departed and have endless fun. This would be impossible because endless fun would soon become normal and then normal would become boring, and then mind-numbingly tedious, and then torturous; in other words, eventually it would become like hell. So to prevent this eventuality, there would have to be some sort of balancing factor. which, one should quickly see, would make it like it is here on earth. It has often been said that both heaven and hell are here on earth and I, for one, agree, in that sense.
Other possibility that one might call heaven is another 'plane of existence'. There you live a 'new' life, and if you've learned enough when you die, you can ascend to the next plane up, a plane where there is a greater potential to experience pleasure; perhaps if you haven't learned enough, or lived a worse life that you did on *this* plane, then you go down to a lower plane of existence, where there are fewer possibilities for pleasure.
Since there is no evidence to support any concept of heaven, each is as good as the next, so you can take your pick of which one you want to believe!

just be the best person you can be and ask if there is any God to help you find your way
I am buddhist
Yet I do..know that God is real and will always be there for me. I do have some Christian belief but when I pray I just pretty much talk to God. Sometimes I say "Jesus Christ thank you for everything blah blah blah". No traditional prayer or anything.
If you try to be the best person you can be morally, you will always find your way. Just have faith in fate.
I am open to whatever happens whether it is reincarnation or heaven. I hope for you and me that God will let us in heaven if that is the true way..
I used to get mad at God. I would pray to stay with some guy and it didn't work out shortly after I prayed. Then I finally opened my heart and realized that God just had someone else in mind for me later on in life.
He IS real. Don't ask a Scientist. Don't ask people that think Science has to prove something. I have seen miracles. God is real..there must be someone out there that helped me before.
There was a self made millionaire with a child born without ears. The doctors told him he couldn't hear anymore. He told him yes he will and he firmly believed that and put his faith in God. This child got his hearing back. No modern scientist today can come up with why.
This man's name was Napoleon Hill.
Read his books.

No living person can answer you. As the other responses demonstrate, people are very biased in their opinions about the afterlife, based on their own religion, or lack of same. The correct answer is we don't know. Some people think they know, but they can't all be right, can they? Every religion has tried to explain what happens to people when they die - in fact, it's almost the definition of religion that it's an explanation of what happens at death, but they can't all be right. In the next 50-100 years, medical researchers, "New Age" spiritualists, phenomenologists and parapsychologists will probably arrive at an explanation for what we know already, from interviews with those who have died and been revived, from the measurable weight loss that occurs at death, and from the "ghost" phenomena which defy analysis but seem to never quite go away. All of it points to some form of existence after death, but none of it corroborates the claims of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Heaven is not very likely, but reincarnation is. Look into Buddhism and/or Hinduism for more on these belief systems.

I truly believe that most people would rather want there to be life after death as they couldn't possibly imagine a time when they didn't exist. I believe that all we have is in the here and now and it is through our own choices whether we can define that as "heaven" or not. What lives on after someone dies is the knowledge and wisdom that they have passed on throughout their lifetime.

No, not all people go to Heaven. Only the people who put their faith in Jesus Christ and have accepted Him as their ONLY Saviour go to Heaven. I'm sorry to say this, but the people that don't accept him go to Hell for an eternity which is forever and ever. If you want to know more. You can just e-mail me. I hope I helped!

Yes, of course, there is life after death. And no, not all people go to heaven. Only those who have accepted Christ as their Savior, and realize that He died for your sins so you could be admitted into heaven if you accept God's gift, children who have not heard of or do not understand what God's gift is, and those who have not received God's message are allowed into heaven. Those who have heard, interpreted, and understood God's message and chose on their own will to reject it are sent to hell forever.

to start off Hutchison is an idiot, you'll find a lot of those on the net,

oh and 2 i love your avatar, do you have a link to a bigger image, msg me plz!

but to answerer your question. the after life is something we all must struggle with, and persons much wiser then I debated over this issue long before i was and will long after i go. but for me i know i go some where. Everything in this world tells me it is so, the physical world, matter and energy constantly are going through a process of rebirth, nothing every really ends; the natural world, bears hibernate, caterpillars become butterflies...

i could give you countless examples of how the world screams for an after life. but what it really comes down to is, if not, there's a hole lot of nothing to be living for, if all you are end up dead, why bother being at all. even Hedonism assumes there is some value in pleasure, but like fun, once it's over it's gone, if that's life, why bother.

but that's not the biggest reason, the biggest reasons, is my God, the God that Jesus called Father, the One that calls Him Son, said so, but my soul believes it bc of those other reasons, search your soul you know it goes somewhere.

and for your other Q. unfortunately no, i wish yes, it should be yes, but if all people went to heaven the way they were, i don't think that you would want to be there. imagine all the evil people in the world (Stalin, Hitler, Mao, rapist, murders....) if they did, and didn’t have some kind of transformation, I wouldn’t want to go there,

but for those that call ourselves Christ followers we give our lives towards Christ, to forgive us, to fix us, to change us in to the people we would like to be for eternity, we may not achieve it on this side, but we are new creatures and once we shuck this flesh bag, and all its baggage we are free to be who we really are, our true selves

If you believe that there is, then there is plain and simple. Any way that you look at it, the things that compose you wil wind up being used by other living things in the future as you decompose, so even if there is not a spiritual life after death, there is a physical.

Yes, We have a body, soul and spirit just like Adam that God mad. Our body returns to the ground but our sould and spirit returns to God who gave it. Ecclesiastes 12: 7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. There are two places we can go when we die. One is to hell, because of rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ and the place is to heaven because we have believed and trusted in what the LOrd Jesus Christ did for us on the cross. He died for our sin, He was buried and took our sinsa away and He rose again for our justification. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Romans 4: 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
