...to have a supernatural experience?

Someone I know used to frequently hear mysterious voices and stomping noises in her house, which was considered by many people to be haunted. A friend who was a complete skeptic went there and spent the night, and he couldn't explain the source of the noises and stomping, and claimed to have seen something so messed up (a writhing, creeping figure crawling through the bedroom) that he left the house and spent the rest of the night in a motel. I don't know if he believed it was 100 percent supernatural, but his behavior indicated that he thought it was pretty creepy, nonetheless.

Offhand I'd say no. They'll generally try to find a rational explanation to explain their experience. What logic and justifications that they use will indicate what they truly believe.
