I quit a few months ago, and by the grace of God, it's been pretty easy.

I'm TECHNICALLY agnostic. I have my own beliefs not associated with any religion I've studied so far. I don't smoke because it's not healthy. I quit when I got pregnant with my son. I had received something in the mail about a year prior showing what smoking did to the mouth and I decided then and there I would eventually quit. Then when I got pregnant, knowing what smoking could do to the baby, I walked out of the clinic, lit a cigarette, took one last drag, and threw the pack away. Of course someone came right along and asked me if I was done with that and I said yeah. I've been asked by many boyfriends and husbands to talk to their women about not smoking during pregnancy. But ultimately a person will only quit when they decide to. But I still tell everyone who will listen my story in case it might help someone. The only side effects of quitting were gradually being able to breathe better and gradually craving cigarettes less and less until I never crave them at all. Although occasionally I dream it's a warm summer day. I'm young, healthy and lighting up a Marlboro lol.

Yes, I consider myself a religious person,But not overly. A lot is between me and the man.Very personal. I smoked for 20 yrs when I gave it up.Simplely put them down. Ended a 2 to 3 pks a day habit. It was hard to do,but, the man helped me.That was 24 yrs ago.Now in my 60s I am paying for those years of puffing away. I wish I had never smoked,But,I am so happy I quit. Now if the man would just help me with my weight.
