There are lots of TV studios in Burbank that offer free tickets to TV shows. You have to wait in line. And you might not get in. But, you might get to see a free show taping.

Watching a show be taped is free, although you need to get tickets in advance - production is starting up so there should be some shows you can see.... There's a great park in the hills (near DeBell golf course) that has a nice hiking trail. Griffith park is nearby with lots of hiking trails. DeBell has a par 3 golf course (in addition to the regular course) that's only $3. There's the Media City Mall to hang out at. You can go to the animal shelter and look at dogs and cats (I don't know what your definition of fun is...)

I don't know if you live there or are going to visit, but you can get free tickets to filming for sit-coms for the big networks. Just go on line and request the date you want. It's fun to sit in the audience and hear yourself laugh in TV!

Griffith Park is hugh and fun. Hollywood is on the other side of the hill. Santa Monica Beach is only 1/2 hour away.

I guess you can walk in the park. Maybe you can go to the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Is that free?
