Some of you claim that if the innocent are aborted, then they go straight to heaven. So, abortion would be a GOOD thing in that case.
However, you also claim that people who have never heard of (or never had the opportunity) to hear about jesus, go straight to hell. They don't pass GO, they don't collect $200.00.
So, which one is it? Foetuses certainly cannot have heard about him so if they're aborted they go straight to hell.
OR, if they go to heaven, then certainly, the people who have never heard the word go to heaven too. Right?
I mean you can't have it both ways can you? And if the latter is true, then the best course of action would simply be to keep quiet and not tell ANYONE about Jesus and all the rest of the mythological trappings, thereby ensuring that everyone would go to heaven.
Right?
(Of course, this is all patent nonsense, heaven and hell are myths, no more real that Oz or Narnia. This whole religion thing is designed to do this; separate fools from their money)

Most states here in the US do not allow abortion past the embryonic state which is 10 weeks. I dont see abortion as evil or murder. The embryo can not live outside the womb without the mother so sorry the whole killing a baby thing just doesn't work on me for the pro-lifers argument.
Christianity is contradictory.. you cant use contraceptives but you cant get an abortion either I guess this is why we have religious family's with 17 kids. Thanks for over populating the world.

anti-religion and pro-choice.

edit-sheesh a few answers down and your question has now turned into killing children. or is he talking about pedophiles.. since he said liking..hmmm.

If you have already made up your mind, then why bother asking the question? You wouldn't believe the answer.

And yes, abortion IS evil, because it is the premeditated murder of an innocent baby, who is often torn limb from limb, poisoned, or some other form of death that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
For one thing, do not believe the "popular" theology that as soon as someone dies, they go straight to Heaven/Hell. The Bible tells us that everyone, both the wicked and the saved, sleep in the grave until Christ returns. Every aborted baby is "asleep" in this way. When Christ returns, the saved will be resurrected to eternal life. The rest of the dead will remain dead until 1,000 years after Christ's return. At that time, the wicked of all ages will be resurrected to damnation, then obliterated by fire. They will not be "tortured" forever. Every woman who has ever aborted her baby and not repented of it and been saved, will be destroyed at that time, just like she destroyed her baby.
There will be women in Heaven who had abortions in this life, but they are the ones who repented of that sin and asked Christ to forgive her. He is faithful and just to forgive her, and I believe she will see her child again.

Believe what you want to about Christians. You would be right about some but don't think that about all of us. But if you believe it is OK to murder some one then go and make murder legal. As for not hearing the word of Jesus he will take that into account. As for an embryo and older to twelve years they will go to heaven as it states in the Bible because they are too young to make a decision for Christ.
Yes some religions are after your money but there are those that are interested in your relationship with Jesus Christ. The only thing else that I could tell you is that you might be right and if you are then you have nothing to loose. But if Christian that are interested in your relation ship with is right then you have every thing to loose and they will gain everything.

I will give the 'rule of thumb; then the 1 exception to the rule that I currently know of.
Rule; Abortion takes an innocent life; the unborn baby.
Exception to the rule; In a high risk pregnancy, a situation could arise where it is the life of either the innocent baby, or an innocent mother. In such a case, in my opinion, it is the doctor's call with no liabiolity/criminal charges to the doc (& collegues)in either decision for that case.

There is no direct statement in the Bible concerning the fate of aborted babies.

The issue with abortion is the same as with any murder. Pro-choice are in favor of a woman's right to chose to murder her baby. As such, those of a pro-choice stand would seem to be just as culpable on the judgment day as those actively involved in murdering babies.

You do not understand. See, it doesn't matter if you HEAR the Word of God if you don't accept and believe it. I know a person who I have wittnessed to a ton of times, so she knows about Jesus and she has totally heard about Him, but she does not believe. I will be praying for you. Jesus loves you!
Edit:
Oh yeah, I am a Christian and I am totally against abortion. It is wrong bcoz there is a human being in that womb, and you kill it when you abort it. Thus, it is murder.

innocent babies never had a chance to go against God (sin)
And remember in the Bible it says EVERYONE will hear and have a chance to believe it as truth or not.

Just to ADD:Just because they do that in a couple states doesn't make it right. There is still a life starting.
Plus I used contraceptives I have 3 children and my husband got "snipped" So not ALL "Christian" believe like that.

abortion is wrong because it's like someone saying "oops, nope, God's wrong, this pregnancy wasn't really supposed to happen."

you can't punish someone for being ignorrant. i believe that all babies will go to heaven and everyone who has never heard of God or Jesus will not automatically go to hell.

Why do Christians say abortion is evil? Because it destroys a human being.
