that questins get posted and gather answers but then nobody gets any rating? i mean you look at some of the people who answered and they are well above the first level. it makes you kind of think that they don't even bother to read others answers. they just spill and haul butt! kind of sucks!

I try to rate but nothing happens, I scan down then come back to see if it registered and it hasn't. So whats a person to do. I read them all after I answer so I can see if I am out of touch or on the same page as others. My e-mail tells me of my special rating but not on the thumbs.

I agree with you. My usual style is to post my answer, then go back and read everyone else's answers. I don't want to get influenced by their answers, so I don't read them first. Then, as I am reading their answers, I will rate them. What's the point of having a rating system, if no one uses it??

If you look at most of them, the answers all pile up within seconds, so no one sees the ones posted above their own half the time, but yes, rating the best answers would make this whole operation work better.

Allot of times I rate other answers without leaving an answerer of my own. In fact I just did that right before your question. some lady got got left by a "man" with two kids. he went to Scotland to clear his Head of find himself, or something like that.

Sometimes they aren't really trying to help because they will right a few words and not even a complete sentence. But it will take much longer for them to get to the last level because they will only get 2 points at a time.

I know what you mean. You will find here that there are a lot of unanswered questions and a lot of clowns playing around on this site. But the Yahoo police does a pretty good job of watching who's placing info on this site. Have fun!!!

I try to rate mine and I even go back and vote who I think should be best answer for ME. Sometimes I go back and rate other answers. It depends, really.
