im 14 and drink 16 ounces of water a day witch is like 2 dasani bottles.... they say your supposed to drink 8 ounces..so is 16 ounces ok? or is it false that you need 8 ounces??

actually, they say like 64 or more. much, much more than 8 is what you need. i think 8 oz is just a typical serving size.

The proper amount the body needs is (8-10) 8 ounce glasses a day.

You are supposed to drink half your body weight in ounces.

Example: I weigh 115 lbs...therefore i drink about 57 to 60 ounces a day.

On an average you should consume about 6 oz 3-4 times a day! So that is approximately 18-24oz in total.
You really don't need to over do more than that as your body could retain water and can make you bulky!

you actually need 64oz...when people say 8oz, they are talking about a cup of water...so you actually need 8 cups of water per day

my recommendation is buying a 32 oz water bottle and drinking two of them [each time you drink a whole water bottle, its 4 cups of water so you only need 2]

That way you dont have to get up and get more water everytime you run out...

well if they say to drink 8ounces then thats probably enough but u can never drink enough water it doesnt harm you but im sure you dont need to drink 16 8 or even 10 is enough.x

oh you can drink that no prob. i drink a couple 32oz bottles when i really get thirsty.
as long as you don't drink yourself silly like that one lady did to get a wii and killed herself. you are fine.

the more water you drink the better......it flushes your system of toxins....and it also makes you feel full so you don't eat a lot and gain weight

my aunt is a trainer, and she's very knowledgeable about these things. she says eight is too little. 16 is a good amount.
