Heat. If you rub your nails you'll stimulate the blood supply, increasing cell division, therefore your nails should grow a bit quicker. You can rub in a hot oil or hand cream. Also eating jelly will strengthen your nails because it contains jellatine.

I don't know that there's any way of making them grow faster. Mine grow pretty quick anyway. I have heard that they grow faster in summer but i don't know why. I do know that it was thought that after death the nails kept growing for a while, but now it's known that the skin recedes and gives the impression that the nails have grown. None of this answers your question though, sorry.

your nails need stimulation and protection. sounds kinky but its not. imagine going out into the rain without a coat on you are going to get wet and your clothes will get damaged! nails are just the same they need protection in the form of a nail strengthener or base coat. if you are ok with wearing colour or nail varnish the better they will grow as they will be stronger due to the amount of protection you have applied. also rubbing any kind of oil every day into nails will help stimulate the cuticles thus helping the nails to grow. keep them short and strong. once they are strong they will grow long. be patient.

calcium helps nails grow.

holland and barrett also a supplement especially for nail growth which is good.

also wearing a nail strengther or nail polish can help

filing nails in one direction helps them to be stronger so there is less chance of them breaking

sally hansen does some really nice nail varnishes like strengthener

eat a well balanced diet

also, eating a cube of jelly also is meant to help your nails grow

hair and nails are both the same sort of thing. and everyone wants both to grow. luckily i have nails that people envy because theyr rele white at the ends and they grow well and i have nice hands :]..*as im told, bcz i hope im nt rele unmodest?* but then i don't have the lovely hair. it's one of those things that you have to deal with. 'drink more water etc' 'eat your vegetables' lol jeez beauty is such a lifestyle ruiner.
what i suggest is, filing them everyday so that when they grow, they don't split, and be patient.
X why bother buying loads of nail treatment? X

my nails used to chip and break so much, but i took Calcium tablets for a while (but i've forgotten recently...) and i use Maybelline "express manicure growth serum for short nails". i put it on every other day or so, and it makes your nails stronger and helps them to grow. my nails are lovely now! costs around £4 in boots.

There's a strong connection between the health of your nails and your liver, so make sure you look after your liver. (Plenty of fruit juice, not too much fat or booze.) Also make sure you get plenty of protein, zinc, EFAs, Silica, B vitamins and calcium in your diet............I don't know if this will speed up growth, but it will make your nails (and the rest of you!) more healthy.
